Chef Ho Dinh Son, Hanabusa Restaurant, said, “Sushi is a popular dish. It is attractive for its eye-catching colorful presentation.” A roll of Sushi is a work of art as it is an elegant combination of many elements including colors and flavors. Sushi is cooked vinegar rice commonly topped with other ingredients and put into rolls. There are various types of sushi including Temaki sushi, Nigiri sushi, Makimono sushi, Gunkan sushi and many more.

The variety in sushi arises from different fillings, toppings, condiments, and the way the ingredients are put together. Toppings are typically fish such as salmon, tuna or other seafood. Makimono is cylindrical piece, wrapped in seaweed, a thin omelet, soy paper, cucumber, or parsley. Temaki is a large cone-shaped piece of seaweed on the outside and the ingredients spilling out the wide end. Apart from sushi types mentioned above, many other kinds exist.

Sushi is often ordered for a starter. It is commonly eaten with condiments. Sushi may be dipped in soy sauce, and flavored with Wasabi, a piquant paste.
